April Weekend Reunion Day

Dear Detroit Lovers,

We are having a “Weekend Reunion Day” in place of “Post Encounter” for the couples who made the April WWME Weekend. These reunions are done around most of the country in place of Post Encounter. It gives the couples a sample look at a WEDS meeting with a chance to reunite with the other couples from the weekend, the presenting team, and meet community couples from their area.

BCTR is…
A great follow-up to your Marriage Encounter Weekend, no matter how long ago it was.

The BCTR experience is designed to help encountered couples, priests and religious build a “true community” in your local areas.

1 ½ days of exciting, interactive presentations.

Sleep at home or at the Baymont Inn in Howell and community housing will be available as well.

WHAT TO BRING: A notebook, pen, snack to share and a 2 liter of your favorite beverage

Registration is $50 per couple which includes BCTR workbooks, Saturday lunch, and Saturday night dinner.

Dear Pastor and Bulletin Editor/Publisher,

Thank you for the support you have already shown for marriage by including announcements in your bulletin. More than seventy-five percent of the couples that attend the Weekend identify their parish bulletin as one of the places they learned about the Weekend.

Please help this week to support marriages by inserting this BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT in your parish paper:

WWME Weekend - April 27-29, 2012

Happy Spring WWME Friends and Lovers,

It’s been a while since we’ve sent out a community email but, alas, we have a WWME Weekend coming up on the weekend of April 27-29 at the Quality Inn in Troy and we are so excited!! We have 26 couples who have applied for this Weekend!

So we are once again asking everyone to write letters for those couples who may be coming into your WEDS groups, and one extra letter addressed to Dear Lovers, for those couples who will not get letters because they are from out of area.

We stopped at Troy Beaumont to visit Steve and were there when he received the best news of the day. They are sending him home tomorrow; his staph infection is one that responds to a wide variety of antibiotics so he has been receiving effective antibiotics from the beginning. When we were there they came in and disconnected him from the IV. He will be receiving one more dose of IV antibiotics tonight in his IV port; once he gets home he will be able to treat with oral antibiotics. He will be seen by homecare/woundcare.

Donna's dad is moving to step down unit. His confusion is worse. He may be moving to rehab in a few days, not sure where. Lots of difficult changes for all.

Please continue to lift Donna, her family, and her dad in prayer.

Prayer Request

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that my sister is home and resting.

She still has some numbness on her left side, and they are keeping an eye on her for a blockage on that side of her neck. (They are hoping that medication will clear that.) She and I both want to thank you for your prayers. Please keep them up as she goes through the next few weeks of therapy, and testing.

Thanks and God Bless,
Janet Schnur

Ave Maria Radio Fund Raiser

Just wanted to let everyone know that Ave Maria radio is having a fund-raiser this week. We wanted to let the entire Marriage Encounter Community know about Ave Maria's fund raiser to help support them, as they have supported us so well.

Contributors can call in donations by phone or make them on the Internet:

Phone: 877-288-1077
Internet: Avemariaradio.net

Teresa Tomeo has been so supportive of ME and we know she would appreciate our support.

Lots of love and a big hug,

Bill and Janice

Convention 2012

Dearest Dreamers,

We share with you this week our worry and concern that as of April 1st, we have not received registrations for the Widow and Widower program we had planned for Convention 2012. As a result, we are appealing to all of you to once again contact your communities and encourage couples and priests to invite Encountered widows and widowers to the convention on July 13-15 in Sacramento. Go to: wwme2012con.org for more details.

Prayer Request

Hello Family and Friends,

First, I would like to say thank you to anyone has said a prayer for me over the past few months. On Good Friday I had my second TACE (Trans Aterial Chemoembolization) proceedure. After the proceedure the doctor came to talk both Judy and I about how the procedure went. She told us that when she started the second proceedure by scanning my liver the 3.9 cm tumor measured on 3-6-12 had almost dissapeared as well as many of the other tumors in my liver PRAISE GOD. And thank you for all the Birthday whishes I received
